Set up by three Scottish surgeons, MAV brings together medics to help reduce levels of violence in our communities.

One of the ways we do this is by speaking to young people about the devastating effects of violence. To date we have spoken to 5000 pupils at schools across Strathclyde, but to make a real difference we need to speak to many more.

All of our members give up their time free, as this is a cause they passionately believe in. We hope to extend our work in the coming years, to prevent more people suffering injuries as a result of violence. But we cannot do this alone: we need to raise vital funds in order to continue this work, and you can help by buying tickets to this, our first fundraising event.
